How do you know which stone will work for you? There are thousands of beautiful natural and man-made stones, which have many different healing properties and benefits. You may want to research your specific needs before order custom prayer beads. Here you can find a few of the more common stones used today. What Are Prayer Beads?
Prayer Beads date back as far as 40,000 years, being used by Egyptians, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Catholics & many others. Traditionally, the “rosary” was made using beads made of crushed rose petals. The Buddhists used a strand of 108 beads to represent the number of worldly desires or negative emotions that had to be overcome. Muslims used prayer beads to represent the 99 names of Allah.
Today, prayer beads can be used for traditional prayer in any form of religion, memorizing affirmations, physical aids in meditation or to recite your own personal mantra. I personally design each piece and it is my hope to create a piece which will resonate with your heart and guide you to a more peaceful and loving life!
Numbers & Healing
Also you may want to consider the number of stones you have in your prayer beads. You can choose a more traditional "rosary" with 59 beads or something specific to a number you select. You can also review the numbers below to have a better understanding of how numbers help in the design of prayer beads.
The Number 4 represents Discipline, Will & Solidity
The Number 5 represents learning, communication & freedom
The Number 6 represents Healing
The Number 7 represents Creation & Spiritual Connection
The Number 8 represents Abundance
The Number 9 represents completeness and theend of a cycle
The Number 10 represents Accomplishment.
The Number 11 represents a higher level of understanding, intuition & metaphysical abilities
The Number 12 represents cosmic order and perfection
